Location:
Smt. Indira Gandhi College of Engineering (SIGCE) is just 15 minutes walk from Kopar Khairane. There are also few buses which go to this college. If you have company from the railway station it is advisable to take an autorickshaw as it comes to just Rs.15/-
Infrastructure:
The college boasts of a good infrastructure. The labs are fully equipped and the library is decent enough. However, there is no campus to speak of except a small volleyball court.

Faculty:
Many teachers are well-qualified and experienced. They usually don’t give viva KTs so they are in the good books of the students. Overall, faculty is average.
Attendance:
The management of Smt. Indira Gandhi College of Engineering (SIGCE) is considerably lenient when it comes to attendance. Only if the attendance is pathetically poor, parents are summoned and a warning is given at the most.
Crowd:
There is a majority of Maharashtrian crowd. Boys to girls ratio is 7:3. However, people are quite cooperative and enthusiastic. The Electrical batch students have a bad reputation.
Canteen:
The canteen is not spacious and it becomes suffocating during breaks. Apart from that, the canteen is hygienic and the food is cheap and edible.
Hangouts:
Not many places around the college to go to have a good time. Just a few restaurants on the highway or else, if you are willing to go a little further, there is Vashi.
Festivals:
The cultural festival ‘Ignite’ and also the sports day take place in the month of February. The technical festival ‘Technoblitz’ is held in March
Placements:
20% of the students at Smt. Indira Gandhi College of Engineering (SIGCE) get placements. Phoenix is the main company which gives these jobs.

Not much suitable for civilized students. Go to this college just if you want to obtain a degree for namesake.
