Terna Engineering College -Nerul (West), Navi Mumbai

Location:

Terna Engineering College is just a 5-7 minute walk from Nerul  railway station (Harbour Railway)

Infrastructure:

The campus is huge but not as good as other colleges. No sports activities can be done on the campus. Many equipments in the lab are faulty. The library is decent enough.

Fees:

Rs.49,500/year

Grade:

A

Faculty:

The faculty is relatively less experienced and therefore not competent. One faculty appears to be a 15 year old (though, according to students, he teaches satisfactorily). The telecom department has a decent faculty.

Attendance:

College is very strict regarding attendance. 75% is a must otherwise parents are called and given a sound lecture. If less then 40% students are detained.

Crowd:

Half the students are villagers. Boys to girls ratio is 6:4. All in all, an average crowd.

Canteen:

The canteen is very spacious with unhygienic yet edible food. Very few items on the menu but it is economical.

Hangouts:

Not many places to hangout which doesn’t matter as people in this college rarely go out.  Nearest place to hangout is at the station.

Festivals:

The technical festival of Terna Engineering College ‘Resonance’ takes place in March.

60% of the students get placement. The average package is Rs. 3 lac p.a.

Verdict:

Principal is very strict and is a dictator. He holds the final authority in all matters. Geeks may like this college as their lookout is not enjoyment. However, being engineers we can survive anything.
