Yerala Medical Trust’s Dental College & Hospital, Kharghar

Location:
It’s just a 15 minute walk from Kharghar railway station (Harbour Rly). Or you can also take a 5 minute ride in the rickshaw from the station. Share-ricks are also easily available.

Rank:
Generally the second preference after Terna Dental among the private colleges.

Infrastructure:
Very good. No major glitches and all basic requirements are fulfilled.
Hostel facilities are available.

Intake:
BDS : 100
BAMS : 60

Fees:
BDS : Rs. 2,25,000/year
BAMS : Rs. 1,20,000/year

Faculty:
A lot of good teachers have resigned this year. However, the college is still left with excellent professors. So, no worries on that front.

Hospitals Affiliated:
The hospital affiliated is the Yerala Medical Hospital. The number of patients it receives in Dental are good enough, but poor in Medicine.
Crowd:
The students come from extremely rich families, since only they can afford such exorbitant fees. You’ll find a number of “rahees baap ki bigdi hui aaulaads” here.

Canteen:
Just one word to describe it : Bad

Hangouts:
There are a couple of coffee shops and a hookah parlour around the campus. For other better options one has to go to Vashi which is the most developed part of Navi Mumbai.

Attendance:
Absolutely no attendance problems. It is an added advantage over most other colleges. The additional time obtained is, however, best spent studying.

Festivals:
The college festival is called “Impression” and it is celebrated with great enthusiasm once a year.
